Yasser Al-Dosari is a well-known Quran reciter and respected Islamic scholar from Saudi Arabia. He was born in 1981 in the Al-Kharj province, southeast of Riyadh. From a young age, he showed great dedication to the Quran. He memorized the entire Quran by the age of 15 under the guidance of expert teachers like Sheikh Bakri Tarabishi and Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Akhdar.

He continued his studies in Islamic law and graduated from the Faculty of Sharia at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. He later earned his master’s and Ph.D. in comparative jurisprudence from the Institute of the Judiciary at the same university. Throughout his journey, he received support and mentorship from several respected scholars, including Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Jibreen, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al-Sheikh (Mufti of Saudi Arabia), and Sheikh Saad bin Nasser Al-Shathri.

He has served as Imam of several mosques, including the famous Dakhil Mosque in Riyadh. In 2015, he was honored to become one of the imams of Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah, leading prayers for millions of Muslims from around the world. His beautiful and emotional recitation style, combined with perfect Tajweed, has made him one of the most beloved Quran reciters globally.

He has released many audio recordings of the Quran, including Taraweeh prayers and over 50 complete Quran versions. He is widely regarded as one of the leading voices in Quranic recitation, alongside other prominent and beloved reciters such as Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, Mishary Rashid Alafasy, Saad Al Ghamidi, Maher Al Mueaqly, Saud Al-Shuraim, Ismail Annuri, and Ezzat Sabri.

He has also led prayers and delivered lectures in countries like the UAE, Egypt, Bahrain, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic, and participated in various conferences, radio, and TV programs. In addition to being a reciter, he is active in education. He works as a university faculty member, and he is the General Secretary at Prince Sultan University, where he helps teach the Quran to members of the Saudi Arabian Defense Forces. He also plays a role in Islamic youth organizations both in Saudi Arabia and abroad.
