Tawfik As Sayegh, born in 1974 in Asmara, Eritrea, is a famous Quranic reciter. He moved to Saudi Arabia, where he grew up in Jeddah, learned the Quran, and completed his early education. Later, he pursued Islamic studies at the University of Imam Mohammad Ben Saud, earning a master’s degree and a PhD from Um AlQura University. From 1992, he served as an imam at various mosques in Jeddah, like Lami Mosque, showcasing his talent in delivering Khutbah. After being deported to Bahrain, possibly for advocating immigrant rights, he was granted Bahraini nationality. In Bahrain, he became an imam, reciter, and head of Al-Hudah Publishing House, which published the entire Quran recorded with his voice.
