Bandar Baleela is a renowned Quranic reciter from Mecca, Saudi Arabia, born in 1975. He graduated from Umm Al-Qura University in Mecca and later earned his doctorate in Islamic jurisprudence from the University of Medina in 2008. In 2013, he was appointed as the imam of Masjid Al-Haram. He made his first appearance as the imam of Masjid Al-Haram during the Taraweeh prayer in Ramadan. After leading several prayers at Masjid Al-Haram, he was permanently appointed as imam in 2013. He has also taught Islamic jurisprudence and has served as a professor in various institutions, including Al Taif University. In 2016, he was honored with the position of imam and khateeb for Istisqa prayers by a Royal Decree issued by King Salman. His recitations, known for their soulful and emotional delivery.
