Mustafa Raad Al Azzawi was a well-known Iraqi Quran reciter recognized for his emotional and powerful recitation. He followed the Hafs A’n Asim style, one of the most widely practiced methods of Quranic recitation. From a young age, he was passionate about Islamic studies and devoted himself to memorizing and reciting the Holy Quran. His recitations became widely recognized for their depth and beauty. He recorded several Quranic recitations that gained popularity, particularly among Iraqi soldiers during times of war, providing them with spiritual strength. His recordings have been widely distributed and appreciated across the Muslim world. Tragically, Mustafa Raad Al Azzawi passed away on May 26, 2007, during a confrontation with American soldiers in Iraq​. Despite his untimely death, his legacy continues through his recorded recitations and contributions to Islamic learning.
