Abdul Wali Al Arkani, also known as Abu Muad, is a well-known Quran reciter and imam from Mecca, Saudi Arabia. He was born in 1983 in the region of Mislafah, near Mecca. He memorized the Quran at the age of 14, first under the guidance of his father and then with the help of respected teachers such as Sheikh Harun Dahir, Sheikh Muhammad Kabir, and Sheikh Muhammad Idriss Abbas. He later studied at the Al Arqam Ibn Abu Al Arqam Institute in Masjid Al Haram and graduated in 1997.
At only 13 years old, he led his first prayers at the mosque of Sheikh Muhammad Saleh Jamal in Mecca. Since then, he has served as imam in several mosques before moving to Jeddah, where he is currently the Imam of Khadem Al Haramein Al-Sharefein Mosque. His unique and soulful style of recitation quickly made him popular, and he has been invited to lead prayers in different countries. Notably, he was officially invited by the Governor of Ajman in the UAE to lead prayers alongside Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy.
Sheikh Abdul Wali Al Arkani stands with other respected reciters who have enriched the spiritual experience of the Qur’an. These include Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, Saad Al Ghamidi, Yasser Al-Dosari, Abu Bakr Al-Shatri, Abu Bakr Al-Shatri, Mukhtar Al Haaj, Muhammad Ayyub, Hazza Al Balushi, and Khalid Al-Qahtani.
