Born on May 3, 1927, in Faqus, Sharqia Governorate, Egypt, he memorized the Holy Qur’an at a young age. With a deep love for the Qur’an, he devoted his life to teaching, reciting, and spreading its message across the world.

He traveled to many countries, including Palestine, Brazil, Britain, the United States, and France, to share the words of Allah and inspire Muslims globally. At the age of 36, he was appointed as a Quran reciter for Egyptian national radio, allowing his voice to reach millions of listeners. His precise Tajweed, emotional delivery, and deep reverence for the Qur’an made him one of Egypt’s most beloved reciters.

Together with Ahmed Amir, other distinguished Qur’an reciters, including Mohammad Ismaeel Al-Muqaddim, Anas Mohammad, Islam Sobhi, Yousef Maaty, Abdul-Munim Abdul-Mubdi, Muhammad Siddiq AL-Minshawi, Mishary Rashid Alafasy, Hamza Algerian, and Ahmed Ibn Ali Al-Ajmy, have contributed to spreading the beauty of Qur’anic recitation through their soulful voices and dedication.
