Ahmed Ibn Ali Al-Ajmy is a world-renowned Quran reciter from Khobar, in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. He was born on February 24, 1968. He memorized the Quran at a young age and showed a strong passion for Islamic studies early in life. He began his education at Al Mohammedia Primary School and later completed high school at Azoubair Ibn Awam School in Khobar. He then graduated from Mohammed Bin Saud Islamic University, where he specialized in Islamic Sharia. To deepen his knowledge, he pursued a Master’s and Doctorate in Quran Interpretation from Lahore Public University in Pakistan. His academic research focused on the science and methods of Quranic interpretation.
He began leading prayers in 1984 at Al Moghira Bin Shouaba Mosque. In 1985, he moved to the Great Mosque of Khobar, and later, in 1992, he became the Imam of Al-Amir Mohammed Bin Fahd Mosque. Today, he serves as an Imam at King Fahd Mosque in Jeddah.
His beautiful and soulful voice gained wide popularity, leading him to record many albums, such as “Wada’anak” and “Anashid.” He has also appeared in Islamic conferences, TV programs, and radio shows, spreading the message of the Quran. Ahmed Al-Ajmy is among a circle of prominent Quran reciters whose voices have touched millions, including Bandar AL Yousr, Sayed Ramadan, Muhammad AL Kantawi, Ahmed Alshafey, Waleed Samir Ali Abdul Majid Sorour, Abd Allah Al Kandary, Abdullah Ali Jabir, Walid Mehsas, and Fadi Saoud AL Jabbour. Each of these reciters brings a unique style and sincerity that enriches the spiritual experience of listeners.
He is married and lives with his family in Al-Orqoubia, Khobar. He has six children: Abdullah, Omar, Fatima, Maryam, Modi, and Abdurrahman.
