Akram Al-Alaqmi, full name Shaykh Akram Al Sayyid Abdullah Ismail Al Aalakmi, is a renowned Quran reciter from Egypt, born on December 24, 1971. From a young age, he showed a deep passion for Quranic studies and went on to master Tajweed and Quranic readings. He earned high certification in the Ten Readings according to Hafs ‘An Asim and received a recommendation from the respected scholar Sheikh Issa Al Maasaraoui for his exceptional talent and dedication.

Over the years, he has served as an imam in many mosques, including Abdullah Bin Masaud Mosque, Ansar Al Sunna Al Muhammadiya Mosque, and Chabab Al Islam Mosque. He has also worked with the Ministry of Awqaf as a preacher, delivering sermons and guiding worshippers with his knowledge.

With more than 25 years of experience, he has led Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers in several Arab countries and has taught many students the rules of Quranic recitation. His beautiful voice and precise Tajweed have made him a respected figure in the world of Qira’at. His recitations have also been broadcast on popular Islamic TV channels such as Al Majd, Al Hafid, and Al Fajr, allowing millions of Muslims worldwide to benefit from his voice.
