Al Fateh Muhammad Zubair is a well-known Quran reciter and Imam from Omdurman, Sudan. He is famous for his deep and powerful voice that touches the hearts of listeners.. From a young age, he loved the Quran and worked hard to memorize it. He memorized the entire Quran using traditional Sudanese methods—writing on wooden boards and reciting aloud to master each verse. His family was deeply involved in Quranic education. His father was a supervisor at a Quran memorization center (Khalwa), established in the 1930s. Continuing this legacy, Sheikh Al Fateh studied at the University of the Holy Quran in Khartoum, where he specialized in Islamic sciences and improved his Quran knowledge. Today, he serves as the Imam of the Grand Zubair Mosque in Omdurman and also supervises Khalwat Zubair, a center that has graduated hundreds of Quran memorizers across Sudan. His recitation follows the Riwayah of Abu Amr al-Duri, a style that is unique identity of Sudanese Quran recitation. His strong, clear tone creates a sense of spiritual elevation for listeners, making his Tilawa both powerful and moving.
