From a young age, he developed a deep love for the Holy Quran. His family played an important role in nurturing his love for the Quran, his father served as a supervisor at a Quran memorization center (Khalwa) established in the 1930s, a place that inspired generations of students.

He later pursued higher education at the University of the Holy Quran in Khartoum, where he specialized in Islamic sciences and refined his knowledge of Tajweed and Qira’at. His recitation follows the Riwayah of Abu Amr al-Duri, a distinctive style deeply rooted in Sudanese Quranic culture. Currently, he serves as the Imam of the Grand Zubair Mosque in Omdurman, where he leads prayers and guides the community through his inspiring voice and teachings. Through his efforts, the spirit of Sudan’s traditional Quranic learning continues to flourish.
