Sheikh Abu Al Hareth Hamad Sinan is a renowned Kuwaiti Quran reciter, Islamic preacher, and Imam. Initially, he was a professional singer in the Arabian Gulf, where he gained fame for nearly eight years starting in 1973. However, his life took a profound turn in 1981 during the last ten days of Ramadan. He was deeply moved by the recitation of a verse from Surah Ar-Rahman during Qiyam Al Layl prayers at Al Matir Mosque,(The verse was: “وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ”, which is translated to: “And for him who fears the Station of his Lord there are two Gardens”.) which led him to leave the world of music and devote himself to worship and memorizing the Quran. He received certification in Hafs Aan Assem’s from Al Shatibiya and became an Imam in 1987. Over time, he became highly respected for his knowledge of the Quran, Al-Fiqh, and Al-Oussoul, as well as for his contributions to Islamic education. He is also a member of the Imams and Muezzins selection committee and uses media to spread Islamic teachings, including his program “Fi Diyafatikum” on the Kuwaiti Al Watan channel.
