Jazza Bin Falih Al Swaileh, born in 1969 in Kuwait, is one of the most respected Quran reciters in the Islamic world. He is widely known as a leading figure in Quranic recitation in Kuwait. He memorized the entire Quran at the age of 13, guided by the encouragement of his parents, despite the lack of Quranic memorization centers at that time. Throughout his journey, He received Ijazah (certificates of Quranic authenticity) from some of the most prominent scholars in the Muslim world, including Sheikh Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Zayat, Sheikh Abdullatif from Al Azhar, and Sheikha Oum Saad from Alexandria. These certifications recognize his deep mastery in Tilawat and Tajweed, and his approach focuses more on conveying the meaning of the Quran rather than just the beauty of the sound. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Shari’a and Islamic Studies at the University of Kuwait. Alongside his studies, he began teaching the Quran in the Hadith department and continued his mission to teach Quranic sciences for more than 20 years. Many renowned male and female scholars have studied under his guidance in mosques and Quranic schools. He also served as a volunteer Imam at the Ministry of Awqaf in Habib Al Banay Mosque in Kuwait. He worked as a Quran teacher and Tajweed instructor for 12 years at the University of Kuwait, and he has been actively involved in radio recitations in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. In addition to his academic and religious contributions, he is also active in media. He hosted the TV show “And Recite the Quran” on Al Arabiya Channel, and has appeared in other Quranic programs and events both in Kuwait and abroad. His voice recordings include the full Quran in Hafs ‘an Asim style and several lectures like “How I Learned the Tajweed”, presented at the Third Quranic Congress. He has also led Tajweed courses in Arabic and European countries, served on the jury of international Quran competitions, and supervised many Quranic projects. He remains a key figure in promoting Quranic education through his teaching, media presence, and deep commitment to the message of the Quran.
