Surah Yaseen mp3 by Khalid Abdulkafi
Khalid Abdulkafi Maqboul is a distinguished Saudi Imam and Quran reciter, widely respected for his exceptional voice, heartfelt delivery, and deep knowledge of the Holy Quran. Born in Mecca in 1391 Hijri, he showed remarkable talent from a young age and memorized the entire Quran during his early childhood. Today, he serves as the Imam and preacher of Aisha Al Ka’aki Mosque in Jeddah, where he has been leading prayers and guiding worshippers with dedication since 1429 Hijri.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Quranic Studies from Al Mu’allimin University in Jeddah. From the beginning of his journey, he was mentored by Sheikh Dr. Adnan Saleh Al Habashy, who taught him the fundamentals of Tajweed and proper Quranic recitation at Rahmat Al Mouaeminin Mosque. His reading abilities were recognized early, and at the age of ten, he received official certification from Sheikh Ahmed Al Masri. He continues to refine his recitation under the guidance of Sheikh Muhammad Mousa Al-Sharif, working toward a complete Quranic Ijaza.
Throughout his development, he was deeply influenced by legendary Quran reciters such as Sheikh Muhammad Siddiq Al Minshawi, Sheikh Muhammad Ayoub, and Sheikh Abdullah Awad Al Juhani. These influences helped shape his unique recitation style, soft, emotional, and spiritually uplifting. His first major role as an Imam came when he led the Tahajjud and Tarawih prayers at Rahmat Al Mouaeminin Mosque during his secondary school years. His strong command of recitation and humility in leading prayers soon earned him recognition across several mosques in Saudi Arabia.
In addition to his work as an Imam, he has contributed significantly to Quranic education. He oversees Dar Al Khouloud, a school dedicated to Quran memorization, and teaches at Al Faysalia School for Gifted Students. He also supervises programs focused on training future Imams and preachers. As a board member of the Al Ihssan Association for Human Care, he plays an important role in community service and Islamic outreach.
One of his most notable achievements is the creation of the “Al Quran Laka” (The Quran for You) project, a pioneering initiative designed to help young men and women build a strong connection with the Quran. The project aims to reach one million youth, encouraging them to regularly read, understand, and reflect on the Holy Quran.
He has produced a rich collection of audio and video works, including Quranic recitations, heartfelt supplications (Du’aa), and inspiring sermons. Among his well-known contributions are the Quran Closing Du’aa, the Du’aa for the people of Egypt (1432 Hijri), and various lectures delivered inside and outside Saudi Arabia. He has spoken at significant events such as the Benelux Quran Competition in the Netherlands (1435 Hijri) and has presented lectures on important Islamic personalities, including the Prophet’s companion Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas. His voice and knowledge have also reached wide audiences through radio and television programs like Ahl Al Quran on Alf Alf Radio and Yawm Jadid on Al Majd TV.
Khalid Abdulkafi shares the field of Qur’an recitation with many notable voices who have also left a meaningful impact. Among them are Sahl Yaseen, Adel Rayane, Abdullah Matrood, Salah Albudair, Idrees Abkar, Mishary Rashid Alafasy, Abdul Basit ‘Abd us-Samad, Walid Mehsas, and Fahad Wasel Al Mutairi, each known for their own heartfelt approach to reciting the Qur’an.
Among his recent publications are impactful khutbahs such as “Islah Dhat Al-Bayn” (Mending Fences) and “The Affection Between Spouses,” reflecting his strong commitment to strengthening families and communities. With decades of service in Quran recitation, teaching, and preaching, he continues to be one of the most influential and beloved Imams in Saudi Arabia.
