Muhammad Abdul kareem, born on September 9, 1968, in Dongola, Sudan, is a renowned Quranic reciter and Islamic scholar. He is known for his deep knowledge of Quran recitation and Tajweed, with a soft and beautiful voice that has won the hearts of many Muslims. He graduated from King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah in Islamic studies and later earned a Master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Khartoum. He began his journey in Quran memorization under the guidance of notable scholars like Sheikh Muhammad Al Sisi and Sheikh Ahmed Sabri at Masjid Al Haram in Mecca. In 1985, he was certified in the “Seven Readings” by Sheikh Muhammad Nabhan Masri. Over the years, he studied various Islamic subjects, including the “Rasm of the Holy Quran,” “Alfiya Ibn Malik,” and “Al Aqida Al Tahawiyya.” He was mentored by prominent scholars such as Sheikh Abdel Aziz Bin Baz, Sheikh Muhammad Al Habib Al Shanqeeti, and Sheikh Muhammad Al Saleh Al Uthaymeen. He has played an active role in Islamic education, teaching the Quran and Tajweed in Mecca and Jeddah. He has also been involved in Quran memorization seminars and served as a teacher at the University of the Holy Quran in Omdurman. Currently, he is the Imam of Masjid Al Kawtar in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and holds several leadership roles, including the presidency of the Islamic culture department at Matloub Et Al Jamiaa, and membership in the advisory committee of Sudan’s Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs. He is the author of several publications, including Landmarks of Integrity in the Holy Books and Sunnah and Ahl Al Qibla and Their Legitimate Rights. Abdul kareem has also recorded multiple audio versions of the Quran, further establishing himself as one of the leading Quran reciters in the Muslim world.
