Mustafa Raad Al Azzawi was a respected Quran reciter, imam, and scholar from Iraq, known for his powerful and soulful voice. From a young age, he developed a deep love for Islamic studies and dedicated himself to memorizing the Holy Quran. His recitations were admired for their clarity, emotion, and strong adherence to Tajweed, inspiring many people across Iraq and beyond.

He recorded several audio tapes of his Quran recitation, which became a source of hope and strength for Muslims during difficult times of war. Even after his passing, his voice continued to bring faith and spiritual comfort, especially to Iraqi soldiers who found courage through his recitations.

Mustafa Raad Al Azzawi was part of a young generation of reciters, remembered for his unique style and soulful voice. Along with reciters like Abdur-Razaq bin Abtan Al-Dulaimi, Raad Mohammad al Kurdi, Abdullah Khulaifi, Al-Amin Quniwa, Dawood Hamza, Hamza El Far, Hafez Ishak Danish and Ahmed Nasir, he helped preserve and spread the beauty of the Quran.

Sadly, he passed away on May 26, 2007 (11 Jumada al-Awwal 1428 AH) during a confrontation with American soldiers in Iraq. Despite his early death, his legacy lives on through his recorded recitations, which continue to inspire Muslims around the world.
